FAQ

Questions Before You Arrive

Green Farm Tourism is an initiative by the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala, recognising properties that integrate sustainable agriculture, ecology-friendly practices and authentic farm experiences. Holistic Eco Resort is a certified property — meaning our standards are externally verified, not self-declared.

The natural waterfall on the property is safe for guided walks year-round. During peak monsoon (July–August) the stream runs strongest — spectacular, but we advise guests stay on the designated path. Our team leads all waterfall visits.

Our therapists conduct a brief consultation before every treatment to understand your constitution and any contraindications. Classical Ayurvedic treatments are adapted accordingly — pregnancy, specific health conditions and medications are discussed before booking.

The resort is located at No. 2/199, Paithalmala Road, Pottenplave, Vanchiyam — approximately 25 to 30 km from Kannur city centre. Thalassery is slightly closer. We can arrange pickup from Kannur or Thalassery on request.

Yes — families are welcome. The farm setting, forest walks and organic kitchen are well-suited for children. Specific experiences (Ayurvedic treatments, waterfall walks) are age-guided. Do mention children's ages when enquiring so we can plan appropriately.

All meals are prepared from organic produce grown on the farm or sourced locally. The kitchen follows Ayurvedic dietary principles by default — wholesome, seasonal and dosha-balancing. Vegetarian, vegan and specific wellness diets can be accommodated with advance notice.
